Here at Nook London we’re well aware that you’re all probably seething with jealousy about not being able to join us at the Northern Light Trade Show next week, (it’s only natural). So, being the kind-hearted folk that we are, we’ve created a brand new platform post that’s going to help you achieve that incomparable Nordic style.

Blogs are a great place to start if you’re thinking about an interior overhaul, and so we recommend the unrivalled My Scandinavian Home, a project created by the one woman powerhouse Niki Brantmark. Book deals and tens of thousands of followers don’t come out of nowhere, guys. If you should ever trust the suggestion of a stranger, then make it this one.  My Scandinavian home flawlessly combines design inspiration and project ideas, all while championing a range of beautiful and minimalistic products that will undoubtedly look great in your home…not just your imaginary home, your actual home.

If you’re looking for a more all-encompassing read, provide a wealth of knowledge surrounding all things Scandinavian – news, design, interviews and travel; they literally cover it all. Perfect if you want to cover all your bases before taking the interior plunge.

More of a visual learner? That’s what Pinterest is for. With a wealth of users boasting incredible Scandinavian inspiration it can be easy to get overwhelmed / stuck in a Pinterest wormhole. Luckily for you, we know of a few thematic boards that’ll get you in the mood to add a touch of Nordic to everything you own, including your pets.

Enter Aglaia:
The Pinterest board that not only epitomises pure Swedish minimalism, but that will also invoke severe jealousy…we advise to view with caution.

If you’re looking to take it one room at a time then The Little Design Corner is all you need. These stunning boards come with inspiration and tips designed for individual rooms, which is ideal if you’re wary of our plan to completely transform your entire home.

So we know that minimalism might not be for everyone, and the beauty of platforms such as Pinterest is that there’s literally something for everyone. Take for instance, the vintage illustrations in the colourful Creatively So board; cartoons for grownups, if that’s what you’re in to.

If you’re less into interior and more into architecture then Dezeen, as always, are here to educate you on everything you need to know about exquisite Scandinavian superstructure.  They have a huge selection to browse through in their archives, so you’ll be more than occupied until we’re back from Stockholm.  Start with this article that dissects the implementation of a Norwegian retreat that pushes all the boundaries of classic Nordic architecture. In fact, these are great reads whether you’re a design buff or not.
